RE-ASSESSING ASSESSMENT PRACTICES IN DESIGN TO SUPPORT STUDENTS’ LONG-TERM LEARNING

Teena has worked as a graphic designer for over nineteen years and continues to work in her own design consultancy, specialising in the area of community cultural development. For over ten years, she has taught undergraduate and postgraduate design courses at various universities in Sydney. She has participated in over ten solo and group art exhibitions and her work is represented in private collections in Australia, USA, Japan, New Zealand and Canada. She has completed a Master of Education and is currently a doctoral candidate at UTS where her research interest is the intersection of gender, pedagogy and curriculum in the context of design and typographic education.
